Elektra Comfort Hotel is a family-run boutique hotel in Skala Prinou on the island of Thassos — a place dedicated to hospitality since 1974, crafted with love and care, just two steps from the sea. Across fifty years it has grown from a seaside haven into a refined Mediterranean retreat: 28 bright, minimalist rooms in three types, an uncompromising blend of aesthetics and functionality, fitted with COCO-MAT mattresses and pillows and balconies opening to sea or mountain views. Today, with the baton passed to the next generation — Konstantinos, who preserves the essence of authentic accommodation while embracing innovation and sustainability, and Lefteris, whose attention to taste runs from the coffee to the kitchen — the hotel pairs unpretentious warmth with attention to the last detail. The 2022 unveiling of Elektra Comfort Hotel introduced the Pinch of Salt Restaurant, enriching the guest experience with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and fine drinking. The website had to capture all of that — the rooms, the hosts, the half-century story, the gastronomy, and the unmistakably Mediterranean spirit — while staying easy for the team to keep current. In collaboration with Dialogue Design (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the rooms, the people, the history, and the restaurant together into one warm, image-led home.

A family-run boutique hotel whose charm is in the detail — the rooms, the hosts, the fifty-year story, the food. The site had to feel as unpretentious and as attentive as the hotel itself, present the rooms and the gastronomy invitingly, and lead guests cleanly toward a booking, while staying easy for the team to run.

01

Rooms presentation

28 rooms in three types, bright and minimalist, with COCO-MAT bedding and sea or mountain balconies. The rooms had to be presented invitingly and clearly — aesthetics and amenities both — so guests pick the right one.

02

The hosts & personal story

Konstantinos ("Welcome!") and Lefteris ("Enjoy!") are the soul of the place. The site had to carry that personal, host-led warmth — a family welcome, not a faceless hotel chain.

03

Fifty-year heritage

From 1974 through the pool in '95, the generational handover in '16, the '19 renovation, and the 2022 unveiling — the timeline is part of the brand. It had to be told as a story, not a footnote.

04

Gastronomy

The Pinch of Salt Restaurant — breakfast, lunch, dinner, fine drinking — is central to the experience. It needed its own inviting space within the hotel brand.

05

Mediterranean tone

Unpretentious yet attentive, distinctive yet memorable, undisputably Mediterranean — the design and pacing had to capture that spirit, warm and image-led, never glossy-corporate.

06

Booking path

Beautiful presentation has to convert. The site needed a clean, prominent path from browsing rooms to checking availability and reserving.

07

Content autonomy

Rooms, offers, restaurant content, and seasonal updates change. The team needed to manage it all directly — no developer in the loop.

A custom WordPress + ACF platform designed alongside Dialogue Design — warm, minimalist, image-led. The rooms, the hosts, the history, the restaurant, and the booking path each get their own home, and the Elektra team manages all of it without code.

Custom WordPress + ACF Platform

  • WordPress + Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for maximum content flexibility
  • ACF Flexible Content blocks for rooms, the hosts, the timeline, the restaurant, and editorial features
  • Custom post types for rooms with rich metadata — type, view (sea / mountain), amenities, capacity
  • Editor-friendly back-office that gives the Elektra team control over composition, not just copy
  • Modular architecture that grows with the hotel — new rooms, offers, and restaurant content plug straight in

Design Collaboration with Dialogue Design

  • Dialogue Design led the visual identity — warm, minimalist, image-first composition that reads unmistakably Mediterranean
  • Kukarika translated the design into a pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress theme
  • Brand consistency from typography to spacing to image treatment, on every screen
  • Mobile-first execution — guests browse and book from the beach as much as the desk

Rooms

  • Image-first room pages — the three room types presented with full-bleed photography that does the minimalist interiors justice
  • Per-room amenities surfaced clearly — COCO-MAT mattresses and pillows, modern comforts, sea or mountain balcony views
  • Filtering / orientation by type and view so guests find the right room fast
  • Each room leads cleanly into the booking path

The Hosts & History

  • A dedicated space for Konstantinos and Lefteris — the personal welcome that defines the stay
  • An interactive history timeline — 1974, the '95 pool, the '16 handover, the '19 renovation, the 2022 Elektra Comfort Hotel unveiling, and the vision ahead
  • The family story told as the trust and warmth it is — fifty years of hospitality, two steps from the sea

Pinch of Salt Restaurant

  • A dedicated home for the Pinch of Salt Restaurant — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and fine drinking
  • Gastronomy presented invitingly, with the same image-led care as the rooms
  • Lefteris's attention to taste — from the coffee to the kitchen — woven through the experience
  • Cross-linking between the restaurant and the stay so guests see the full experience

Booking Path & Performance

  • A clean, prominent path from browsing rooms to checking availability and reserving
  • Booking entry points placed where guests expect them — on rooms, in the navigation, on the homepage
  • Lazy loading and adaptive image delivery tuned for full-bleed hotel and island photography
  • Cloudflare CDN delivery and tuned Core Web Vitals so the site loads fast for guests browsing from anywhere

A hotel presence that reads like the stay — warm, minimalist, unmistakably Mediterranean — and a platform the Elektra team runs themselves as rooms, offers, and seasons change.

  • Inviting rooms — three room types presented with image-first care, amenities and views clear, each leading to a booking
  • Host-led warmth — Konstantinos and Lefteris give the site a personal welcome, not a faceless chain feel
  • Heritage story — fifty years from 1974 told as an interactive timeline, the trust signal it is
  • Gastronomy — the Pinch of Salt Restaurant gets its own inviting home within the hotel brand
  • Mediterranean spirit — the Dialogue Design system captures the unpretentious-yet-attentive tone end to end
  • Booking-ready — a clean, prominent path from browsing to reserving
  • Content autonomy — rooms, offers, and restaurant content managed by the Elektra team without developer involvement

// Outcome

The Elektra Comfort Hotel website is a digital extension of a family that has welcomed guests to Thassos since 1974 — the same unpretentious warmth, the same attention to the last detail, the same Mediterranean spirit shows up on every page.

With Dialogue Design's visual leadership and Kukarika's WordPress + ACF development, Elektra now has a warm, image-led, editor-friendly platform that presents the rooms, the hosts, the history, and the Pinch of Salt Restaurant as one inviting whole — and grows with the hotel, every new room, offer, and season slotting straight in.
